About House Museum Los Sabandeños

This 18th-century building houses the heritage of the folkloric group Los Sabandeños, led by Elfidio Alonso. It displays the awards received over its five decades of history, as well as souvenirs from the places visited during their world tours. A shop also offers souvenirs and records of this iconic group of Canarian culture.

Los Sabandeños began their musical activity in 1965 as a group of university friends in La Laguna. In 50 years, they have produced more than 95 albums, preserving Canarian folklore and incorporating their own songs as well as adaptations. The group also explores the Latin American repertoire and the bolero, which has become an emblematic genre of Latin music. Their impact goes beyond the Canary Islands, with tours in Spain and concerts in many countries in Europe, America, and even Japan, where they have sold over 2 million records.
